Recently joined thought I'd say hi to all and post a couple of pics of my V8 Granada,
She's a 1976 Mk1 Estate fitted with a 351ci Windsor engine, running a CC 265 dual energy Cam, Ford Racing Inlet with a Holley 600cfm. All coupled up to a C4 transmission fitted with Shift improvement kit uprated bands etc and a 2400 stall convertor.
Got to do some more work on her this year, axle swap out for LSD, re-route exhausts, new wheels etc, so should keep me busy!!!
Steve.

If there ever was an engine that looked at home in an engine bay that is it. There is just somthing really right about the whole car IMHO
Best regards

Thanks guys,
gelmonkey - It does surprise a few people sometimes

me included!! Has been known to surprise a few of the local boyracers
It's quite quiet on idle/low RPM, so is reasonably stealthy, but when you put your foot down it goes up a few decibels...
kiwicar - The engine does almost look like it should be there, just a shame Ford didn't drop one in as standard, also by adding the extra weight of the engine it made the stance of the car look better I think,

With 34 year old suspension it don't take much to get it sideways, getting it back is the problem
Now, just got to decide what lsd to squeeze in there.......

That's so cool, I love it. Very straight bodywork too.

Hi Steve
If you are looking at a new LSD then try out quaife and the ATB set up they sell.
I think that some Volvo 240 series ran an LSD as standard but I dont know which model.
There will be other forum users who I'm sure could point you in the right direction though.
cheers

Thanks Mike, the body work is surprising good for it's age
Paul, I've been looking at the quaife setup and got a price off them for the ATB unit (not cheap!!!), possibly thinking about going for a cosworth irs instead, give the advantage of disc brakes and should be reaonsably strong, plus parts are readily available. Also could do with tweaking the axle ratio slightly, running a c4 auto on a 3.45:1 ratio is great for take off but crap at cruising, like to get it down to around 3.2-3.3:1 try and get best of both worlds.
I was originaly going to put a 9" rear in, but the car is so straight decided that I don't want to cut it about too much..... despite the engine and gearbox mods, it wouldn't take much to put it back to standard.
I've been looking at the videos of stevieturbo's granada, man that things quick

out of interest anyone know what rear end he uses?
Steve.

like the engine bay, how ford should of done them. You could always use a 8" axle, should be able to get the gearing you want, and cheaper to get hold off.
