It's there to help support the pickup. I must admit that I've not used it on my 3.5/4.6 hybrid lump!

Hi mate,

On the SD1 there is a stud screwed into the bearing cap. The baffle plate goes over this & then the bracket for the pickup.

Hi Ross,

The stud Part No 252517 £0.69 at Rimmers but the others(heavy washer & spacer tube) are NLA. Unfortunately without stripping an engine I can't tell you the sizes. I'm not promising anything but I have a large box of engine bolts in the garage so tomorrow morning I'll see what I can find.

Regards Ged.

Hi Ross,

Sorry mate I had a good look & have everything but what you were looking for. I suggest you measure the height yourself & get one made or pack it up with washers.

Just had look at the engine I stripped down a couple of weeks ago.

The spacer is 19mm outside diameter and 22.7 mm long

The washer is 50mm outside dameter and 4.8 mm thick

the hole in the centre is 8.8 mm.
