I want to use and in tank pump (injecton) on P6. Does anyone know which discovery model I could salvage one from and if that model has a metal fuel tank (i'd need to cut out the mounting hole for re-use on my tank)

Cheers

Ben

Discovery 3.9 series 1 pump should work Part Number ESR3926. Or Bosch 0580 464 070 intank pump will fit ok but you need to use the LR carrier. Same as VN Holden Commodore V6 3.8 litre 'Fuel Miser' pump.

The Disco has a metal tank with a cut out in the top to mount the pump.

Lovely, sounds like a visit to the scrappy is due in the new year. Not sure I find the Holden anywhere in the UK tho!

I think they called the Vauxhalls in the UK :D are there any 3.8 V6 engined Vauxies? since GM and Holden and Vauxhall are effectively the same thing, if you have a v6 3.8 Vauxhall, I suspect they'll have the same pump as the 3.8 V6 Holden.

That bosch number is a universal in tank pump that fits many applications and should work fine, the ESR3926 sender unit can be found in both Discovery 06/94> and defenders 09/90> so should be easy enough to get hold of. PRC9409 may be the same or similar, here is slide of the VDO made part that may be of use to you. (VDO pn X10-736-002-016)
