Capri LSD how much power/torque?????

How much power/torque can a good working order Capri 2.8 Special LSD take? It will be 5 linked is that makes a difference, i am looking to run a Chevy 327 LM7 engine and auto box so around the 275hp but 325 lb.ft 
If it will not take it, any reasonable priced suggestions as i am blowing most of the budget on the engine
It will be fitted in a Zakspeed bodied MK1 Escort so needs to be around 52" wide backplate to backplate max, narrower is better as wheels are custom builds and arches will be tubbed, there goes the other half of the budget
