Hi All
Here are a few pictures of my Cavalier Coupe.
It's the first car I ever bought and have owened it for more than 25 years now.
My wife has regaled many on how we wouldn't have a mortgage if it wasn't for the car but how fast can you drive a semi detached house down the quarter mile eh?
This current rebuild has taken twelve very long years and more money than I care to think about.
I have built it with as much attention to detail as possible but also with a mind to going quite quickly.
It's not to everyones taste for sure but the Mattig extreme kits are very rare and I know of only six such kitted cars in this country.
Hope you like it
Paul

Me like... I think it's the fact you have spent so much time on your project that make's it so good. It's the detail that i like. 8-)

Hi Andy
Yes it is running but not on the road just yet.
Have had to wait a month for MSD to repair my 6AL and send it back home.
Got it running again last night but the tacho does'nt work even with the divide by two gizmo wired in.
It's a 4.3 with lots of go faster goodies nailed inside so I am hoping that it will be quick.
Am going to try and have it on the road this year but that will depend on my customers paying me when they should and not waiting piggin months.
I will take some more pictures when it stops raining down here and i can get her out of the garage

Hi Ron
How you doing my friend?
Thank you for your comments about Baby.
The car has been built to go as fast as possible but at the moment is untested.
Won't be using the nitrous until I have squeezed every last bit of power out of the motor in N/A and then i will start to play with the bottle.
Whilst it does look fast sat still, the proof of the pudding etc etc.....
The car sounds fantastic and I have two electronic exhaust dumps which I can activate from the cabin and open the exhaust before the silencers which I think will help at the drags but mainly it is just for blowing away the fwd snot boxes and their huge exhausts which do nothing but make a noise!
Loud V8 noise is good, and if someone wants to play loud exhaust then let the games commence!
If you want the full spec then I can post it for you.
Friend Tony has now got himself a 3.54.1 P6 diff and is planning to fit that.

I am pleased to hear that Tony has himself another diff,...that will certainly make a difference.

Thanks for the reply and yes I would love to know the full spec of your engine.

All the best,

Hi Ron
Yes you are right,it all sounds impressive and certainly talks the talk but as I said it is untested and will remain to be seen whether it walks the walk too.
It may be rubbish on the road. The end of March next year will be the telling time as that is when it all happens.
Cheers
Paul
