hello all,

can anyone educate me on fitting a map sensor to a rover v8 injection engine.

Where does it go, and how to install one.

Cant seem to find any info on its fitting.

cheers

Just take it of a none timed vacuum point, there are usually lots of blanking plugs down near the vac take off for the brakes. Cant remember if the dissy vac is timed or not but if it isn't you could take it from there. Basically anywhere on the plenum itself. I assume this is for aftermarket ECU.

I was advised to use a take off from the top of the plenum rather than the bottom, probably due to turbulence (??) so I used the cold start injector housing as a take off for my MAP sensor. HTH

I'd say put is somewhere 'quiet' in terms of turbulance, so either at the top in a corner or at the bottom , providing its not close to a trumpet intake thats good also use a max of a 3mm hole for the initial 'feed' point to provide a little bit of damping to the signal
