Hi guys,
made a bit of a cock up
ordered some plugs to fit the knock sensors which arrived,
not thinking that the new knock sensors would be different being O/E rover fittment,
but yes,
the junior timer plugs i ordered for the knock sensors fit the blue ones that screw into the block,
but not the ones that are bolted to the block, (that i bought and have here now  )
any one know what ferkin plugs i need now to wire them up please :?

A pic of the plug would help..

At worst, either use small spades, or just solder wires onto the sensor.

the plugs i bought are the same ones as used by ford crank sensors,
(junior timer plugs they are called) and the blue round screw in type rover knock sensors,
but they wont fit the new sensors im now using above.

Not really sure of your question ??

Are you asking are the sensors like the sensor in the photo, with part number clearly listed ??

Lots of vauxhalls use Bosch with a normal 2 pin plug. Although loads of cars probably do too.

But whats wrong with using the blue rover sensors ?

I have seen them before they are called total seal or something like that. Basically they are a waterproof connector. Pretty sure vehicle wiring products stock them although you might have to buy both the plug and the socket.

Yes they do http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/V ... o/swp5.jpg unfortunately thats a 4pin so its hard to tell if it is actually the proper connector. Pretty sure they are the same that is all over my focus engine bay if you fancy a trip down the scrap yard.

right looks like im going to have to make do with the blue ones,
as I have contacted 3 landrover parts and none of them have the style knock sensor listed,
Have mailed partrange asking what fitment they are for what they are selling on ebay for the RV8 and no reply,
