stage 2 heads

hi there building a blown rover 3.5 and have come across a set of stage 2 heads for sale, this is description,
Stage 2 heads - Spec as follows
Acid dipped, Sand Blasted
Refaced, Ported Inlets, Cleaned Exhausts
3 angle valve seats
Opened valve throats, balanced chambers
1.64" Inlets, 1.4 Exhausts (Stainless Valves)
Hi Flo bulleted guides
Late spec neoprene seals
HD double Valve Springs to suit cams upto 224
Fully Assembled & Checked
with the inlet and exhaust sizes are these right on a blown 3.5?
wouldnt i need to enlarge exhaust size more?
would these be a good set of heads to go for?

There are some Buick 300 heads for sale as well - more local to you
Look a reasonable price for the specification - factor in getting the dodgy thread helicoiled.
Someone on here may have experience of the V8 tuner heads and have more to add - may also be worth a search.

the dodgy thread helicoiled is it a big job how much would it cost for a machinist to do?
i can get these heads for £250

dont no alot at all about the buick 300 heads how can they benefit a blown engine? or are the stage 2 heads a better choice?

If you can get those heads for £250 I'd snap them up.
Presumably they are 14 bolt heads with 36cc chambers, you can use composite gaskets to get the compression down to about 8.8/1 assuming your engine is high compression 9.35/1
If you intend running fairly mild boost that will be ok, but for anything heavier you may need to consider a piston change or some additional machining to the combustion chambers.
