and am not sure on what distributor to go for,
i have been offered a brand new MALLORY DUAL POINT DISTRIBUTOR for £150 what do you guys reckon?

A good little unit. But you may soon get fed up with points. You should be able to get a solid state upgrade kit for around 50 notes.
