Worth selling? or just add it to the weigh-in?

I've got:
2 pairs of cylinder heads of 3.9 Rover (Ranger Rover Classic) engines.
1 3.9 block complete with crank, pistons sump etc. - no cracks, from a Discovery
water pumps x2 or 3

Is it worth trying to sell them or should I just chuck them in the trailer next time I take a load of mixed scrap to the weigh in?
Looking at e-Bay pairs of heads seem to be worth nothing these days.

Opinions?

Deffo worth selling. Don't scrap em mate, someone on here will want em if only for a tenner. Nice to keep parts in circulation to I feel for out dated engines rather than just chucking them away.

you know what year the engine is? Or have an engine number.

yeah, definitely worth selling. Any idea what you'd want for one of the pairs of heads? And where abouts are you in cumbria?

thanks

I'd agree that they must be worth selling, it's just a waste to send them for scrap. If you were close I could be tempted by the 3.9 block & pistons etc.

You should be able to help a few people out with those, and make more than scrap money as well.

I would have punted them on the for sale section but apparently I'd have to post a price if I did that....

1 pair of heads is at my place in Cumbria (10 miles north of Penrith)
The block heads etc from the other engine is at my mum's place in Halifax.
.... I travel Cumbria->Lancaster->Halifax regularly (several times per week most weeks) so if anyone who was vaguely along that route wanted them I could drop them off for a small fuel contribution.

I'll take a look at the block next time I'm at mum's (probably this weekend) and get the engine number.

Now in the for-sale section
