Hi people, im new on here. Got sent your way from the NSRA!
I have a rover v8 which may or may not have had head work done to it.
The numbers i would really like to trace are stamped on the front faces of both heads and are as follows,
ETC8622
HT18022.
The actual head numbers are HRC2210, the valve diameters i measured with a dodgy old set of calipers as a guide came up at 40mm and 36mm.
If anyone can take a wild shot and tell me if the valves are correct size or point me in the direction of the company who may have done the work that would be amazing!

Thanks for that. The part number says its a 3.5 head!
Which is weird, the bottom end has the bore size of a 3.9 and above.

I knew they were later heads, was just enquiring as to what displacement lump they came from.
Are the heads all the same for most rv8's then? In relation to the displacement of bottom ends? ie were 3.5's fitted with one head and bigger engines fitted with different ones? Many thanks

The link Castlemgbv8 kindly gave you pretty much tells the story of RV8 heads. No they weren't specific to engine size, 3.5-3.9-4.2 shared the same heads 4.0-4.6 share the same heads. There is also no performance benefit really between any of then other than the very early P6 heads are poor.
