Which box?

Hi guys, hoping you can help, but know know how 'up your street' this will be!
Basically, I am putting a small block chevy 350 into my Nissan 200sx drift car (on a relative budget) running around 300-350bhp (tops) with a fair bit of drifty style abuse.
Problem mainly is, I am on a bit of a budget and wondered if A: the LT77 would fit/available sbc bellhousing and B: if it would handle that kind of punishment?
Any info would be much appreciated!

I wouldn't of thought so - R380 maybe.

Was there not a 'stock' manual option for that motor? or because it's USA, it only came with an auto?

options would be,
T5 from a injection sbc camaro,
t56 from a later corvette and camaro
Toyota Supra Turbo 5 speed box, which is the strongest of the Toyota boxes.

Yes, the toyota R154. Estimates on how much it can handle vary from 400 to 800 BHP (but of course it's torque that'd kill it more). So I'd think it could handle that power easilly- putting one into my project car too. They can be quite expensive to buy because they are so sturdy, but if you've got the time just scan ebay and keep your eyes open. Took me sixth months or so of looking but I picked up a decent low mileage one for £100. Ok I had to drive to New Haven to get it but it was worth it!

I know someone who has two of these R154 boxes,
he maybe tempted to part with one or both of them,
Getrag 265

You could try a Getrag 265 from an Opel Monza. They can take to torque no problem! Speak to Derek at GM6 Spares he breaks Monza's 01736 810500
I know this box will bolt to a steel Chevy bellhousing. The input shaft is inch and 1/8 10 spline

A far easier place to find a Getrag 265 would be a manual 6 cyl XJ6 Jaguar.
