Swapping flywheels from engine to engine

Can anytone tell me,
If i took 1 Rover v8 flywheel from an engine and put it onto another engine is it ok??? Are flywheels normally balanced with the cranks/ front pulley?? Both flywheels are from a 4.8 but 1 im thinking has been lightened and balanced (can see from drill holes round the outside)
Carrying on from this, the flywheel im hoping to install has been used with a AP paddle clutch and i got it a bit warm and the surface of the flywheel seems not to be flat! can i just get my local engine builder place to face it off again ??
