Just when you thought you'd seen it all. The heads look like custom castings. I just wish I could have that exhaust on a street car, it would save a lot of plumbing...
NTDWM etc but Wow!

I thought it looked pretty good as well. The extra plug seems to be for safety as opposed to performance but you have to wonder what the internal engine spec is. I can't imagine it having slotted 3.5 pistons inside
Are the heads custom castings, they do look like it. If so why haven't we heard of them?

I guess if you arent in those circles, a lot of stuff goes unheard of Mike.
I remember searching through subaru stuff, its amazing the amount of aero guys use them too !! in various forms, and some of the bits they fabricate for them.

The 2nd dizzy looked a bit heath-robinson.

Mildly scary that they're using stock SU's with no option of carb heat. Venturi icing anyone?
I'd prefer it to be running a pair of magnetos for use in the air too. But then again, I work with airplanes.. and maybe the heads are one-off items, or does anyone know if the marine versions of the Rover/Buick V8 ever had a twin plug setup?

It's even weirder when they start sticking them in helicoptors! Chevy's and v8's standing upright, yikes.

The twin ignition system is a safety requirement in planes. My mate has two ignition systems in his kit Bi-plane.

I guess just the presence of the twin plug is enough to satisfy that requirment then! 2nd dizzy looks a little exposed and ran via a belt! (look in the video)
Not sure I would want to fly
Prince of darkness airways thanks!
