Sorry my admin if this is in the wrong place, tell me off if it is

Right, just when i thought i set on the engine being rebuilt (new cam lifters etc for 2009)
i get the chance of an engine upgrade which i can't really say no to,
BUT first i need to get a price on the following, and i thought well no better place than our forum for some honest answers before i hit ebay and our for sale area.

it is a 3.9 bottom end: New HRC crank was fitted when built,(pics on capriracing site)
ARP main studs fitted, con rods have been machined by RS to make the journals perfectly round and correct eye to eye measurement, ARP conrod studs fitted, standard 9.35:1 pistons with valve cutouts (ran progressive 150bhp nitrous on these pistons no probs),
new sd1 front end with new oilpump and relief valve (start 08 ) wicked oil pressure,
new waterpump and all pulleys are included for this cover (water pump pulley is the smaller efi vittesse pulley), car has only done 800 miles with this set up.
No cam as you can fit what ever you want, but may throw the old crower that came out and the crane hi rev lifters that are matched to the cam, the duplex timing gears that are on the engine now will also go with it,
also a set of adjustable moly pushrods,

no horrible noises or smoke as a few of you know at the rolling road day, (look at RR vid in the vid section)
and like i said i would keep it myself if not was the new engine offer.

i also have a complete hotwire efi system to go with the above or seperate.

so guys any ideas what its worth please. ?

I have a cross bolt 4 litre for sale if the prices are that good.

It's been fully re-built with + 10 bearings on re-ground crank
New rings etc - think the cam is Kent 200
Heads are 4.6 all cleaned and valves re-ground.

Sump and front cover are stock Range Rover with dizzy.
New water pump fitted

No inlet on it right now but have complete Hot Wire to go on it
all blasted and painted ready to put back together.
Black with polished fins - rocker covers too.

if me then no keeping the stg3's for the new engine,
unless i can find some more heads,
i maybe able to locate some 4.6 ones to go on to my 3.9 bottom though.
but at present its just the bottom end as per original post mate.

as i think £750 is a bit adventurous

Tony,

I recently sold my 3.5 as a stripped engine all rebuilt with ARP stud kit and Hurricane cam and lightly modified heads for £500 was hoping for a little more.

For a well put together rebuilt 3.9 bottom end, I would have thought £750.00 was reasonable.

Cheers for the reply Kev,

Tony,

As above I think £750.00 ONO, even with it needing a cam.

What you buying then?

Kevin.

Cheers Mate,
all will be revealled mate

but until the bottom end is sold im not saying just in case it turns round and kicks me in the arse and i end up with nowt,
BUT you know i will post on here first once im sorted,

i have also been told of a 5.0 rover thats taken my fancy also.
but wont know much about that until the guy goes back to work on the 5th Jan.
i recon its going to be out of my price range but you never know
if the bottom end does sell around the £700 mark with what we have saved so far i will have over £1100 to start playing with,

even more if the hotwire setup sells too.
