Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the physical size of a battery suitable for a Rover 3.5 V8 engine - I need to make a battery box for the Sceptre but don't want to buy the battery until I really need it! The box will have some adjustment in it to accept batteries of slightly differing dimensions - just want to make sure I make it big enough without going over the top size wise

Nip down Halfords with a tape measure.

That depends on what type of battery you are planning to install.

Look up red top and yellow top spiral cell battery sellers and dims should be there.

If going for a standard wet lead acid battery then as said above, nip to halfords or look at battery retailers online and they should have the dimensions.

It is all about capacity but I would prefer not less than 800CCA as a battery in a 3.5L
