3.9 bhp

Could anyone tell me the approximate bhp for the 3.9v8 engine as have been asked my one, but do not know?

if stock a 3.9 v8 efi is around 190bhp, its it old though expect a few horses to have escaped and run away

Thanks. Have just had heads skimmed, so compression will be up a bit but just started it yesterday after stripping it it eight weeks ago. A fair bit of headscratching went on but with my bruv,s help we got there in the end.

i thought the 3.9 was less than 190bhp,
i maybe wrong, for some reason 170-175 rings a bell.

rimmer bros catalogue lists standard 3.9 at 200bhp
haynes manual rates it at 134 kW which is 179bhp
who knows lol

190bhp version is 4.0litre
and 175-180bhp is 3.9litre..

3.9 with cats is 178 bhp, 3.9 without cats is 185 bhp and 4.0 is 190 bhp.
These are Landrovers figures
