Heads- stronger valve springs etc

Hi guys, I need some slightly stronger than normal valve springs to make sure they guarentee to pull shut against the extra pressure the blower is pushing through- but dont want to go too strong as this must have a fast/high wearing effect on the standard parts (ie rockers) that I am using & I dont want to risk breakages (too expensive!) and the same reason (price) is why I am not replacing everything with fancy parts! (+ I already have a set of brand new rockers). Just browsing ebay as I wouldnt mind another pair of heads either and came across this- what do you think?

Like I say I would quite like a new pair of heads too as got to try and clean up a thread in mine and want to experiment a bit with porting/polishing!

If your not intending to rev much over 6000RPM and for the cam you are intending to use,then the usual one coil less single springs if properly installed will be fine, theres no point in excessively loading the valve gear as it will only increase wear on these components. Check with Paul as he uses this cam himself.

They are not recommended for all out racing should be of sufficient poundage to resist valve bounce, but do check with Paul at V8 Tuner as to their suitability, and making sure they are installed at the correct height is important. Also check whether the tops of the valve guides need to be machined for clearance.

A name and your location would be helpful.
Basically any competent auto machine shop should be able to bullet the valves for you and grind down the tops if necessary for clearance with the increased lift.
If you strip the heads yourself then cost of machining should not be too high. Whilst the machine shop have your heads it would be worth having the throats opened out to valve seat size and blended into the ports.
