Hi Bodger,
The new generation of vapouriser are indeed better than the old ones that had stiffer diahragms and were much more sensitive to pessure differentials.
The new ones are more stable, offer better functionality and are also significantly smaller than the old ones.
There are several makes and also many variations dependant on what is needed. Check carefully how much LPG you need in relation to engine size and select the vap that meets your needs.
For good measure I would suggest making sure that although good water supply is common sense, I would still consider keeping mine out of the way from signifanct heat sources i.e. exhausts and also air flow as they will still alter the diaphragm position and affect the balance.
Some will say it does not matter, some will say it matters.
Find what works for you. AS you are on a mixer and not injection (not really an option as the banks are fired in fours simultaneously) then suck it and see what happens.

They are easy to set up, provided you have a gas analyser or lambda sensor.
Both my V8's have one.

Good choice.
I've run those on 300bhp Rovers with no issues.
There is an upgraded version of the R90 available.

I've got some from Chris Perfect components, I'll see if I can find them later (more to the point, I'll see if I can remember to look!)

I would be inclined to set it at 2% on LPG
