Hi,

newbie here, own a stag fitted with a triumph 2500 lump, managed to get my hands on an sd1 lump mainifolds downpies etc etc.

can anyone help me here with what else is needed to do the conversion, and how do you go about mating the rv8 to the stag gearbox. Will the standard v8 downpipes work or will I need to get some different bits of pipework to clear moutings etc

many thanks

Ben

How you doing with this conversion?

I have a Stag with a Rover V8 in it. I did not convert it myself, but I am in the middle of sorting out a whole heap of problems from its bad transplant.

Down pipes are similar fitting as Stag engine, depends how well you get the engine dropped in to the bay if you need minor alterations.

Looks like there is some sort of adapter between engine and gearbox.

Fit engine as low as you can in the engine bay and then get a Offenhauser or similar manifold and 4-barrel carb and youmay just squeeze it in with out a bump.

Think Tony Hart does a conversion kit for four barrel to original manifold but it ain't cheap.

If you hav questions email me on chris@first-son.co.uk

I'm not on the forum as much lately as I'm ttrying to finish of some of my projects
