Awesome site you have here and thanks for the info, this should come in handy as i make the switch to EFI on my land rover. Do you have any other diagrams, like the color codes for all of the wires in this flapper diagram? If i am running an after market fuel pump that is mounted on the chassis and not in the tank, do i have to hook it up to the EFI system or can it run stand alone?

Cheers,
Chris

Run it off the EFI system and let the ECU turn it on or off via its fuel pump signal + relay. It's safer (IMO) than purely ignition activated.

Excuse my electonic ignorance but i have a few questions regarding your original instructions of what goes where?

Here is a photo of what is maybe the black/white wire you speak of that goes to negative side of coil? This one is blue/white but it is right next to air flow meter loom? Any ideas?

Image

This is a photo of the only plug that i don't have a connection to on my truck or with the EFI bits that i have, i am assuming it contains the brown to battery +, the white red for crank side of ignition and white for ignition run position, an maybe even the purple/white for fuel pump? Am i close? Also, what are these two bundles that have been capped off?

Image

This is the end of the loom with the ECU connection and some relays, i am guessing that this red and yellow wire was installed by the last owner as it looks spliced into the thick brown wire? Should i take it off, do i connect anything there?

Image

Thanks for any info, i just want to do this right the first time.

Awesome diagram, thanks for the info. What about the black/white wire that is supposed to go to the negative side of the coil? Which one is that?

Cheers,
Chris

oh but it looks like your missing the little resistor

its a black box with a spade connector at either end as its got a female connector on the coil and thats what it looks like you have on the blue/white

From what I remember it controls the rpm signal to the ecu. On mine there is a vacuum operated switch teed in with the fuel pressure regulator which controls that relay. I think its a sort of throttle overrun fuel cut.
Deffinately control the pump via the ecu.
I used a jag pump which is external, mounted as low as possible and modified the tank pick up to use 10mm pipe.
The conversion is quite simple and most of the cables are right at the back of the engine in nearly the right place.

Sorry folks I was sure I had one for the RR but I dont :( the only one I have is the same as posted. Not even the factory manual I have has a diagram for it, just sensor measurements to check the stuff out.
