I have a 1971 Rover 3500S and rebuilding the 3.5L engine...........I put the dipstick tube into the block and the bottom of the tube has snapped off in the block..........i've got it out but now need a new tube for the engine...........Has anyone got a spare one lying around or do ones off an early model Rnage Rover or such fit........If so maybe i could get a new one still

Thanks

Hello Bill,

A dip stick from either a P6 3500 or another 3500S, regardless of year in either case will do the job. I would expect a Range Rover to have a larger sump, so the dip stick would also most likely be different too.

Best of luck,
Ron.

Indeed make sure you get a matching tube / stick set. If you mix / match, you can get incorrect oil level readings.
