Con-rod

Weird one this. After collecting new big end bearings i was all set to fit pistons/rods to my crank. I noticed however that after removal of a particular conrod cap, one of the bolts didnt want to come out of it. Eventually got it out to discover that the shoulder of the bolt was mangled and so was the corresponding cap bolt-hole. I never noticed this before. I bought the rods/pistons second hand and missed it - my fault entirely. I dont understand however how this could have happened. The rod itself is perfect but it looks like i need a cap and bolt. Are these available individually or do ineed to buy a whole rod assembly, and if so what do these cost?

4.0/4.6 rod I assume ? Yes, they do that. Bolt shoulder picks up on fitted hole and ruins both. New rod required unless you can re-ream the hole and use and new bolt.
