rover V8 Head Numbers

I have some late 10 bolts heads.
One has H14 the other H12.
The H14 has rubber oil seals and the H12 has neoprene.
Also the H12 Has 2 hold in 2 of the Exhaust ports, seem to be 16mm x 1.25 thread.
Anyone know what these holes are for and can you buy plugs to seal them.
