Took the tina out 4 a drive, missed a gear and revved it 2 some rpm a 2 stroke is designed 2 do, now has a rattle that dont sound too healthy. If its a bent pushrod im in the brown stuff as mine are original group "A" racing items and i imagine they will be hard 2 find.

No reason why you couldn't make them out of the chrome molly kits or any other adjustable pushrod. Just set them loose and adjust using the rocker or the other way round. Am assuming here that the ball end is the same diameter of course. You could also use the molly stuff but use two fixed ends instead of a fixed and an adjustable.

John Eales would be my first call, He seems to have cornered the market on old Rover Performance parts,
If you have done an inlet pushrod, it wont bang on the over-run, Its a case of Compression test, heads off for inspection time, if you have bent a pushrod, its been caused by the valve hitting the piston or the springs binding and locking solid, I seem to remember when you built the engine, you were pretty through,

Well finally got 2 havin a look at the car 2day, pushrods fine as are rockers. I decided 2 remove the heads 2 check the vavles arnt bent, pulled the passenger side head off 2 find bore 5 had loads of tiny dents in the head face, went and looked at the bore 2 find a broken piston. The piston has broke right around the pocket and the top of the ring face is visable. So its a complete engine strip down now, fortunately the bore looks ok, so might be just a new piston. Would i be able to fit the existing rings 2 a new piston 2 save running in procedure, the rings have only done 3000 miles since motor was built.

They were the original pistons from new, i believe they are standard range rover with the pocketes machined in them plus the skirt is machined down too.

I would be tempted to have a better look at the valves where the pistons are broken, there may have been some intereferance to break the pistons, Can you use Ford Straight 6 pistons??? probably be a cheaper option rather than importing new RR pistons then machining them, and a set of Forged items wont break the bank in Au

The valves are fine, looking at the other pistons, the pocket comes to within 1mm of the edge of the piston, wonder if it fatigued.
