am i missing a vacume pipe?

kinda looks like i may have a vacume pipe missing between the dizzy an inlet, tho i have never seen more than one vacume pipe on a dizzy??

The later vacuum advance modules fitted to the distributor have two functions, operating both for vacuum advance and vacuum retard.
The pipe indicated on the module is for vacuum retard.
To my knowledge, the Rover V8 does not utilise this funtion, so that little pipe on the module should be fitted with a little cap. The one fitted to my distributor has a plastic cap covering it over.
As for the second device that you highlighted, unfortunately, I have no idea. Hopefully another forum member will shed some light.

On the second photo - i used that pipe for the fuel pressure regulator. Assuming that is plumbed in somewhere else - you should plug that pipe.

i havent seen my fuel presure regulator, so not sure where its pipe came from,
going down to the car now to take engien out an try an figure everything else out!

I believe the thing in the 2nd photo os for the vacuum for the brake booster

No. the connection on the 2nd photo is the vacuum feed for the vacuum operated centre diff-lock on a Range Rover.
The brake servo pipe is bigger and can ben seen behind it, and the feed for the pressure regulator is on the rear of the plenum.
Plug it up if you don't need it.

If your Rover dizzy requires a vacuum feed then on a Rover SD1 it comes from the top of the air intake and is occluded by the closed throttle disc which is part of its function - ie, no vacuum when throttle closed.
Like this:
Depending upon the receiving car the other vacuum point you indicated can also be used to feed vacuum to an auto transmission modulator valve.
All unused vacuum points shouild be closed off.
You can read about Rover SD1 Efi stuff on my site some of which may apply to your engine.

yes i found the pipe which had come off it, and i would imagine it was diff lock, it went to a black round ball thing at the front and then in to the cabin so i will block it up.

Does the car have AirCon, if so the round ball is the vacuum reservoir for the AirCon Control system and the pipe going into the cabin goes to the quadrant distributing vacuum to the flap actuators, valves etc.

yes its a vogue se so has air con an all the extras, but my car its going in to dont so still be blocking it up.
