Fuel rail thingy

There is a connection on my fuel rail and I don't know what it's for. Its on the left hand side, looking from the front of the engine.
Looks like something screws onto it? Its quite small, and has some ptfe remains on it.
Any ideas?

Or is it the fuel rail temp sensor.

well it's not the fuel rail temp sensor as that's on the other side and has a connector like an injector/sensor etc, so must be a fuel pressure thing?
Either way i don't need it for anything (have a fuel pressure gauge on my adjustable regulator), can I just put a bung on it?
thanks

The outlet is threaded internally and externally.
Don't bung it, fit a schrader valve.
The latest Disco 1 with a 3.9 Hotwire and Serp frontend had this fitting on the fuel rail to simply measurement of the fuel pressure.
Warnings.
Do not know if the schrader has a special spec because of petrol contact. It would be worth checking.....somewhere. A LR dealer could supply an appropriate grade replacement.
When you use it for pressure measurement use a good quality screw-on connector, not a clip-on.
