Crank Case pressure?

Hi Chaps. Got a slight issue with some oil seepage from the filler neck & the vent attachment on the new car. It's a 5 litre TVR Griffith, less than 40k miles, in good nick with good oil pressure etc
Couple of pics...;
What could be causing this then? & how can I tackle it?
Ta in advance.

Nice to have another Griff owner here.
Mine does this too. I don't worry about it. It's got nearly 3 times the miles on yours and is a little modified...
Best guess is that the rubber seal round the filler cap (and the base of the breather/flame trap) either isn't there or doesn't work.
Never really got to the bottom of it on mine - it's annoying more than anything else - no other seals appear to be being blown.

It could well be that the engine breather filter mounted on your rocker cover is becoming blocked. (which is normal).
It can be removed from the rocker cover, opened and the wire gauze filter within washed in petrol to remove as much gung as possible, then once dry refit.
Try that and see if it makes a difference.
Best of luck,
Ron.

It does not look to be coming down the sides of the flame trap or the filler extension so its probably the seals at the bottom of both.
I had this, and fixed it permanantly with large O rings (from my box of a thousand rings).
There are two other possibilities.
1. If you suspect excess crankcase pressure. In addition to the prior suggestion, the breather gallery into the plenum chamber is prone to blockage and can be cleared without removing the plenum with some bent bits of coat hanger wire.
2. I believe most engines have a baffle below the flame trap to prevent too much oil-mist get up into the breather tubes. Is yours still there?

Thanks chaps. Good to hear someone else has had it. These things unscrew do they?
I've got a spare pair of rocker covers off my old 400SE, might swap them over to see.
