Dont really post much but as im in the middle of a project thought i should start a thread 8-)

This is my car at the moment:

1983 Ford Capri (originally a 2.8i)

Image

Last april i fitted a 3.5 RV8 engine (rebuilt by me) coupled to a capri 4spd box.

Due to future plans for more power and possibly a bit of forced induction :D , I decided to change from carb to injection (with a bit of persuasion from Tony!) Fuel economy was also a deciding factor

So far Ive cleaned up the plenum/trumpet base and cleaned and rebuilt the manifold

Going for a VEMS setup, which David (dnb on here) is sorting out for me.

Also, Tony C very kindly offered to make the wiring loom for me and I must say looks like a top job so far!

One of my mates is making up some tubular exhaust manifolds for me (not expecting anything good performance wise as theres not a lot of room!) with fittings for the Lambda and EGT sensors, will hopefully have some pics of them in a couple of weeks.

More updates soon, watch this space!

Nice job with the wiring there :)

You should have the VEMS with you in a couple of days now.

Made up the radiator hose out of some bends, and lined up the air filter so i could drill the holes for the mounting bracket

Should be fitting the manifold permanently tomorrow.
