Dizzy to Amp Wiring Help Needed

Hi,
I'm about ready to fire up my engine for the first time!!!
Only thing left is to connect the distributor to the amplifier.
I've got a 35DM8 dizzy and a black plastic amp mounted on an alloy plate.
There are 2 terminals in the dizzy plug and 3 in the amp plug (one of which is earthed to the amp)
I have suitable connectors ready but HOW ARE THESE CONNECTED UP PLEASE?
Thanks in advance
BD

Is the 35DM8 dizzy the one that has the electronic box of tricks with the coil on top?
A quick 'search' through the pages would probably turn up some info.

Got any pics? - I'm not sure what you mean by amp plug & dizzy plug.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies!
The dizzy has a 2-pin plug on the side.
The amplifier is mounted next to the coil on an alloy plate bolted to the inner wing. There is a short (1 inch) jump lead from the amp to a 3-pin plug. One pin is earthed to the mounting plate
I have to connect the dizzy plug to the amp plug but I need to know which pin connects to which pin in each plug?
Hope that is a bit clearer?!
Cheers

If memory serves correctly, there is another connection on the amplifier. The 3 pin plug you refer to has white (+12V ign), white/black (rev counter feed, coil -ve), and ground.
There is also a 2 pin connection on the amplifier, and you need a lead to go between that and the 2 pin connection on the distributor.
Anybody confirm that?
Chris.

Hi Chris,
Yep, I have the loom that connects the amp to the coil and that is in place.
The other connection at the amp has 3 wires into it, one of which is earthed to the coil plate.
3 wires from amp and 2 from dizzy.
Anyone know how to wire these up????
Cheers

If you look at the bottom pic in the post from Paul B, there are two spade connections on the black module, lined up with a slot in the case. You should have a cable that goes from that to the two bullet connectors (1 male, one female) on the lead from the distributor. Have you got that? I think the wires are red & blue.
Then the 3 pin connector (is it circular) should have white (ign +12, coil +ve), white / black (coil -ve & rev counter), and earth which you have found already.
If that makes no sense, have you got any pictures of your setup?
Chris.

Hi ,
Thanks for your help with this Chris.
The set-up is nothing like that in the pics above.
All the wires (dizzy and amp) are black.
The connectors are oval with tiny (1-2mm) flat pins side-by-side in them.
I have taken pics tonight.
Can I send them to you??
Cheers
