Whats the best timing setting to use for my lpg ed 1990 3.9. I want a compromise so it will run as best as possible on gas but still drivable on petrol.

Checked today its got 14 degrees static with the vac pipe disconnected. Runs well on gas but pinks on petrol.

I set mine up for best performance on LPG and accept that it will pink a bit on petrol. Never used a strobe to see what the numbers are.....

Backed it off a fraction today. im running 10 degrees static now no pinking issues on petrol and still pulls well on gas.

Ive go a couple of intermittant problem when running on gas. Just cant seem to get to the bottom of them.

Occasionally when the car hits 3000 rpm it just hits a massive flat spot. As though youve hit a brick wall. Doesn't fell like a misfire seems more of a gas issue.

Also not happening at the same time as the flat spot she suffers back firing through the inlet. Again happens at no particular time or condition.

I run a wideband lambda sensor with readout, and I've noticed that whenever I have a flat spot, it's because the mixture is leaning right out. It's usually due to:
- Fuel all rushing down the tank and vapour being picked up
- High winds moving diaphragm in vapouriser.

it could also be the orientation of the vapouriser, they should be 'sideways' in the vehicle.
