I have not put them on the for sale section yet as they are not for sale yet, But i am thinking of selling my stage 4 ultimate big valve heads from je. What does anyone think i should put them up for ??? They helped my jeep run a 10.7 with a sniff of gas and i recone with a proper run it would do a 10.2 or 10.3 with more gas. Only reason i will be eventually selling them is im thinking of getting wildcat heads after xmas.. Any sensable thoughts ???

You could try selling them on ebay, listed under Rover V8.
You can set a reserve price, once that is passed,...away you go!

They should make in the £700 range if put on ebay.
Put a reserve on them to be sure you dont get stung.

yeah the past two sets of stage 4 heads I've been watching have gone for £650-680 region.

Be a gent and give us V8 forum boys first refusal before sticking them on ebay hehe! I for one would be very interested after xmas! Do they have roller rockers?

I only have one of the jeep at the moment as i blew a head gasket using 250bhp of gas. I had them O`ringed and it has disturbed 2 of the rings. So i will be getting them skimmed before they go on sale. I have some group A rockers for sale but they will be a separate sale but if someone wanted the pair im sure we could come to some sort of arrangement ! I know my mate sold his rockers and he either got £180 for his so they sell well but i wont be looking for that much. It would be after xmas when they go up for sale. If anyone wants to make a sensible offer before i put them on e-bay, You are welcome. Ill post pix when i get the head of the otherside as im not in an imidiate rush to sell but if anyone wants them quick, It could be sorted. I cant be fairer than that.. P.S. On my jeep that has the aerodynamics of a block of flats with balconys i managed a 11.5sec with NO gas.

Sounds good to me mate, wing some pics up whenever you get chance (doesn't ahve to be before xmas if you're not in a rush to sell).

I would probably be interested in both the heads and Group A rocker gear. Do they have the steel pillars as well as the rockers? What are the shafts made of (steel, ally etc)?

Im sure the shafts are steel. When im racing it always a 7k gear change and never had a problem.

Would the Group A stuff come with the matching pushrods, seeing as they go together and you can't get 'em anymore??

Are the heads TVR U-Big Valve heads or bespoke ones??

Can you do me a favour and when you get time, measure the size of the inlet & exhaust ports, and also the valve sizes?

This is very important for me as I'm using forced induction and they may not be suitable (apparently) if the ports are too big. (TVR Stg 4 heads are no good . . . 'over-ported' for forced induction).

The rockers will come with the push rods as a set. The heads are JE heads that are ultimate big valve heads. If you dont manage to get the sizes of the je site then when im next in my garage ill uncover the head and measure it for you the best i can. If you can get on the site they are as they come port wise. When i got them o`ringed last year i was told that the heads are ult big valve heads and the same heads cost £1750 to but new from himself..
My mate had some of these heads on his blown rover 4.9ltr and he never had any probs..

I have bought some AFR alloy heads fora sbc, So it looks like that is the way i will be going next year. So i have decided to put my stage 4 heads back on and run my rover for the rest of the year then sell everything i have that is rover and get my 427 sbc next winter. If anyone is interested when i get around to selling them let me know ! Ill be selling my bottom end as a whole.5 ltr X bolted 96mm top hat liners, forged pistons H beam rods (might sell with serpentine front cover on) It makes my jeep run 10s. Cheers adam.

Hell ! That was quick. I havnt give it a proper thought yet as ive just got these heads for a chevy on friday. It wont of done anymore than a 1000 miles, so it is still like new and the total seal rings are as good as new born
