RV8 3.5 Cylinder Head bolts

OK, this is going to sound stupid, but what size socket/spanner do I need to remove the cylinder head bolts on my '72 3.5 RV8?
I've found the torque specs for the engine in my Hanes book, I've got the info regarding thread sizes in my Workshop manual, but I don't have a handy table telling me which tools fit which nuts'n'bolts on my P6 and the engine...
I'm a novice (read bumbling incompetent!), I have a set of metric sockets and a small set of AF sockets, 16mm is too large and 5/8 AF isn't a snug fit...
Take pity on me somebody, quit laughing and tell me which tool I'm lacking!
Thanks in advance...
Is there such a thing as a comparison chart or table showing how all the different socket sizes (metric, AF, Witworth etc.) line up, like a handy reference chart from tiny to massive with all the sizes in ascending order?

I'm sure they are 5/8th inch AF (all the later engines I've built are 5/8ths).
You may need an impact socket as sometimes the bolts are so tight they'll burst a standard socket.

15mm is too small (without a hammer!), and 16mm is too loose.

Make sure you get a 6 sided socket (rather than 12 sided)

Chris.
