P5B's V8's are auto's
P6 manual's are 4 speed and have a long bellhousing coupled to an aluminium cased box.
May be post a pic if you can
LT77 number is on the RH side lower case (rust/cast bit) on a plinth
Sd1 nos start 17A xxx/19A... 28Dxxx if you catch my drift, could be out of a sherpa possibly but Nos aren't right you've listed
hope the info helps

Is reverse left-up (LT77) or right-down (R380)?

1 box has 17a1262380 (cast on the right hand side near the base)
the other box has 19a 026920(very hard to read this one as it was stamped on the underside of the box near the bellhousing)
thanks for your help

17A is a 2300/2600
19A is a 3500 V8 box
Both will fit
Either will do depending on condition more importantly, depends how you look at it, the 19a may have had a harder time

whats the going rate for a 19a box
