Hi, has anybody fitted a B&M shifter to a GM gearbox as fitted to the rover sd1, if so what modifications where required as I believe its not a straight forward fit, ie is it easy , difficult ? any help appreciated thanks, David.

Hi,

i have a hurst shifter fitted to my BW65 box in my mini.i had to make a new shift arm for the box.it matches the shifter cable movement to the throw of the arm radius.

Hi Andy thanks for the reply, what actually pushes the lever on the box into position?if it was rod activated I can see it working , or is the cable supported /short enough to operate without any kinking in the cable, thanks David.

The cable on my b&M is more like stiff wire as opposed to a braided cable.
As long as its clamped at the shifter and clamped at the gearbox end it does the job of pushing and pulling just fine.
