I have a RV8 10A... block in my MGB.
Is there an oil pressure take off that I can use, please? :D

Does it have the standard RV8 oil pump?

I think so. I have added the 1/4" spacer and the larger vanes.
It has the oil pressure gauge pipe comming off it. Opps!
I am actually looking to fit a pressure switch, so would I have to T the existing pipe, or is there another port?
Cheers
Dave

The SD1 had two senders I think, one for the light, one for the guage. But quite where they fitted into the pump body I don't know...

I used a T-piece, but I've got a remote takeoff plate instead of the std. pump body.

Hope you can see the oil pressure light sender - the oil pressure gauge is connected to the port with the yellow bungImageImage

Thanks for the help.
I will compare it to mine. I have a remote filter though.

So do I but that only involves a blanking cap where the filter originally sat. The outlets for oil pressure sensors will be the same (unless you have fancy in-line ones with the remote filter)

My set up is far from fancy but I do have a remote filter.
The housing does not have two take offs like yours but there are two plugged ports .
Can I use either of these?

Can't think of any reason why not :)

Can I use either of the ports to the left?

The open port is the pressure gauge take off so I assume the lower plup would be the one to use. :?:

I think the lower one has the pressure relief valve in it.....

The best bet is to take it off, and try to figure out how it works, as it might not be possible without a T piece. This was my finding with my Mocal remote filter setup.

lower one is definitely pressure relief as chris says
