i have just won an oil cooler on ebay,
i gather this one got missed as all the others i seen on there go for around £40-£90
this one i won for £27 in p+p (did finish at 9.20am, thank god for ebay on your mobile fone)

i have a sandwich plate with two 3/4 take offs but no cap for it i think its called a mushroom top? are these available round cap with rubber sealing ring and a square type fitting on the front (for tightening up???),

i was going to use the oil pump base with the remote take off's but can't find the one i had before :(
these aint cheap now are they?

I think i have cocked up
the oil cooler has arrived, and its a nice bit of kit,
BUT:
what size are used on rovers as standard? 1/2 bsp or 5/8 bsp?????

As far as I know 5/8 bsp doesnt exist. It would be 1/2 or 3/4 bsp.

The rover should be 3/4 to keep the high volume flowing, same as your takeoff.

my take off aint 3/4 mate :(
thats why i thought i should ask :(
on the 3.9 RR it has a take off plate for an oil cooler, what are these?
are they 3/4? if so i have been sent the wrong cooler.

I didn't know the 3.9 had a cooler takeoff, I thought you had to use either a new pump base or sandwich plate. I know my mocal remote filter kit is 3/4 which is what the likes of merlin and europa recommend for the Rover.

Edit..... I should say you can use the smaller size but you might find your oil pressure will drop because of it.

i'll try and get hold of a 3/4 fitting to make sure the oil cooler is 3/4
