Out of curiosity, the 4.6 rods have a dimple and the pistons have an arrow on them.
Which way do they have to be installed?
And also, when pistons have valve cotouts do they fit closest to the V or the outer of the engine?

arrow on the pistons face the front of the engine dimples on the rods I believe face each other on the big end of the crank. I am assuming that these replace the pips on the early rods, if I am wrong someone will soon say so. Cutouts go to the inside of the engine.

Thanks for that.

Can anyone else please confirm the arrows, dimples and cutouts?

Yes, arrows to the front. cutouts should be closer to the lifter gallery.
