lessons to be learnt.

With time on my hands( & maybe to escape the wife & kids) I thought of rebuilding a V8 & recapturing my youth! Nothing extreme, A "budget" rebuild.. So, I aquired an engine, cleaned out my shed, evicting family bikes, skateboards, redundant hamster cages (it died long ago)etc etc. &
set about gleefully stripping it down... Then, I joined the V8 forum.. then I checked out the engine no. & chatted to you guys...
Ok, heads are naff, ditch them & purchase better. Ah right, cr's naff, so
ditch the block, pistons & crank & purchase better. mmm, carbs are naff
with bits missing, the I.M's got 2 studs broke so ditch that & buy better!
Also the timing cvr & dizzys not what I want, nor is the sump or w/pump!!
Lessons to be learnt? knowledge is all & Ignorance is costly.. but it will live again...oh yes, it will.
Thanks for your advice all btw.
