Fuel Pump Position

Ive got a Morgan Replica.I pulled the body off today to sort some things out. I'm not happy with the positioning of the Petrol pump and want to move it.
Its a 'Facet' pump. Do these have to be upright to work or can they be fitted horizontally?

If it is one of the smaller square ones I think they need to be mounted with the outlet higher than the inlet, so air bubbles will work their way through, rather then sit chattering away inside. There is something written on the box but I forget now. Mine is mounted vertically with the outlet at the top, and has done a couple thousand miles like it.

I checked the box and there is nothing on that.

I run mine horizontally (Inlet and outlet up)
But I have been told /heard many times they should be vertical - outlet at the top to aid clearing air.
It seems to work OK until I get caught in a jam and I do get a vapor lock every now and again. But I now know what it is - pull over to the side - open engine bay for a couple of mins to clear out the ultra hot air - close it up and of she goes again. Last time I got real lazy and just sat in the car for 5 mins and fired her up.
But I will at some point try changinf the mount to see if it helps - but even then it will be difficult to tell as it has only happened 3 times to date!
(But the car is not a daily driver)
