Rover v8 alternator postion!!!!!!!!

Hi guys can any of you help with my problem on my v8 project i have very little space in the engine bay one problem i have is i am using a 1989 3.5 range rover efi and i need to move the alternator to another place.
I have seen on the westfields that they postion it at this place see img below.
where the red circle is.
What i need to no is what alternator is used and where can you get the mounting kit from or do i have to make it from scratch?
I will need a high out put alternator as well.
Any help in this matter would be great.

The alternator braket on the seight is factory made - need to contact them regarding price.
The alternator is an LRA967 (Lucas i beleive)
Its supposed to be used with the P6 front cover - I dont have any final pics of that, but the issues with using a range rover front cover can be seen on the last couple of photos on this page:

The pre-EFi engines had the alternator where your red circle is. You need the appropriate bracket, and I'm not sure if the pulleys will line up, but it would be a good place to start.

P5 P6 SD1 and some range rovers all have their alternator there. Depending on your chassis some or all might not fit and there is a good chance your going to have to shim the alternator to line up. Id you can use the alternator down and to the side the SD1 bracket will give you a far better belt run. if it needs to be that hight but you can go more to the side the the P5 might give you an ok belt run. Pretty sure I have a P5 bracket if your stuck.

Pilgrim Cars supply a just such a bracket for the sumo (cobra). Can't remember what it costs but it wasn't that bad. I use a Sierra alternator on mine.

Have to look good but you just can see the alternator it self ( leftside of the pic). I thought this was the stock SD1 bracked which is mounted with three bolds on to the head.

I have just done this swap putting an '89 RR 3.5 efi into my Defender. I used the cast bracket from a V8 Defender (which are all mounted on the right). It may also be worth getting the alternator pulley and belt as I believe spacing may be different to a RR. Everything else lined up a treat.
You can do it all with nice cheap Land Rover/Range Rover parts, so find someone breaking one.

I have fitted a small Fiesta alternator down on the lower left side on my car. I made a bracket from steel and lined it up perfectly with the existing pulley groove on the crank. It's worked great for two years, never had to charge the battery.

Also, consider the use of a twin pulley off a 2.8 Capri ETC to help line up if the alternator is sitting too far back
