AUTO INHIBITOR SWITCH WIRING

The reversing circuit I understand, and my lights work.

My auto conversation will not start until I am in P or N which is correct.

I need to see where the wires were connected to by my mechanic so really I just doing my research while I am away from home at work.

For sure my ROVERGAUGE tells me I am still manual and the vehicle drives and runs, but I think it’s in some sort of limp mode as the fuel usage is higher than when it was a manual gearbox.

No fault codes on the rovergauge program

1) The wires BY and BO should one of these go to pin 34 on the 14CUX?
2) Previously had a manual box a lot of info about a 510 ohm resistor to ground? Where is the resistor?
3) So if I check the ECU and pin 34 is connected to ground then I simply disconnect it and reroute the wire from pin 34 via the in inhibitor switch on the side of my gearbox?

Many thanks in advance for any advice…………………cheers Ivan

Given the wiring diagram you post appears very simple, one wire in, one wire out.

Just measure the resistance of the in/out when in park, and in neutral, and see what they are.

Although if that wiring diagram is only for starting, I doubt there are any resistors, just simple continuity when in either P/N to allow the starter solenoid to engage.

A full diagram, rather than partial might be helpful in that regard

Although as you say it runs, presumably it starts already ?

Do you have any full wiring diagrams ?
