I am putting together a Lucas 35DLM8 with remote module to replace my old SD1 dissy, have measured the end float between the tab washer and the gear and its 25 thou, read somewhere it should be about 10 thou, measure two complete spare dissys one was 8 thou one 15 thou, so I am going to make up and put in a 15 thou washer from steel shim, any thoughts please ?

End float doesn't really matter, as the gear will be held against the thrust washer, engine running.
