Alternator pulley sizes

Post by EricCartman »

Hello all,
For my London taxi V8 project, we are going to drive the alternator from the crankshaft pulley. It’s a Lucas a127 alternator I believe and it has a 10mm V belt pulley, about 65mm in diameter with a 15mm bore. As the crankshaft and water pump pulleys take 13mm belts, I thought it would be a simple case of looking online for a 13mm pulley to go on the alternator but after a day of looking, I can’t seem to find any that are suitable this side of the Atlantic.
Does anyone know where I might be able to get hold of a pulley that can take a 13mm wide belt with a 15mm bore?
The only ones I’ve seen have large bosses on that would make it stick too far out.
Many thanks in advance...

Hi Eric,
I make all types of pulleys for the Rover V8. Is it 19/32 bore (15.08mm) with a 1/8" (3.17mm) keyway?
Please look at my website. https://geds-shed.co.uk/

If interested drop me an email.

Best Regards

Ged.
