Has anyone skimmed the thrust plate that holds the pump gears in? im going to get a new pump but cant find a new plate. My plate has light scuff marks so was thinking of skimming the surface, any views? cheers

You could probably get away with a plate of glass and some 1200 grit wet and dry paper and a bit of elbow grease.
