Which is the optimal oil working temp on R380/LT77 gearboxes that are frequently mated to our RV8?
I'm planning to fit a Laminova gearbox oil cooler (that works as heater in cold climates), so gearbox oil temp will be in some way linked to coolant temp at about 85 °C.

I don't know what the expected temperature will be where you are, but my South African built Land Rover Discovery has an oil cooler fitted as OEM to assist in our climate. My understanding is that the UK ones don't have them fitted.
