I would like to have your advice on machine work price on RV8 here in Belgium and the price for similar machine work in uk.

I have asked the price to remove old liners and to put 8 new liners in block + re-bore and hone.

Standard AE liner set (not T-liners) : 355GBP + VAT (20%)
Machine work : 626GBP + VAT (20%)

Total : 1177.2GBP with VAT.

Ok I know here they don't have many experience with RV8, but it seems me is very expensive.

In uk, how much you pay for similar job ?

I think I was quoted between £600-750 for fitting top-hat liners into any block by a couple of tuners. I can't remember who though!

I think that V8 developements could get your block top-hatted for less than the prices you have quoted wotland, although I don't know who they use to do the work, very few of the rover retailers do this kind of work themselves. Companies that do carry out the work themselves include B&H autokraft, Turner engineering, Wildcat engineering. There are others but these guys regularly deal with the rover V8. Give V8 Dev a call first as they have done many 96mm t-hat conversions and of course are our loyal sponsors here on the forum!

In Finland our price to fitting Top-hat liners (all 8 liners) is 400£ inc vat and finisching to suit 94 or 96mm pistons (depending what bore size do you want)..
I bouht also 8 top hat liners from Finland and price is 250-300£ if i remember right?

Cheaper than Belgium prices..
