Hi
I'm building a dax rush with the 3.5 efi 1989 from a range rover (i think)
I have most the engine wiring connected now but i'm trying to connect the range rover wiring to the dax wiring and not sure how i do this.

I've tried looking at 3 different hotwire diagrams but can't fugure out what this is for, it's the only mutil connector left free, that white multiplug comes of the main ECU loom, everything else seems to be in place, the engine does turn over when key is turned but it's not connected to the dax loom, please help.

I'll attach a few photo's to try and help, I'm also trying to find out which ECU i have so i know which wiring diagram i'm supposed to be using??

OK. The ECU and ECU connector are pretty obvious.

On the other connector, the wires are:
Brown - permanent 12V feed
White - 12V from the ignition switch, i.e. is 12V when the key is in the run / start positions
White / purple - power for the fuel pump
White / red - cranking signal, again from the igniton switch, i.e. is 12V when the engine is being cranked.

There's also another wire you'll need which comes from the coil -ve to a spare wire you should have hanging out of the overrun cutoff relay.

It's not a hotwire setup I don't think, I think it's a flapper type.

In fact I can see the side of the AFM in one of the pics, and it's definitely a flapper type.
