Survey of MS, especially interested in MS3 and non EDIS

Firstly I'm interested to hear what Megasquirt setups people have on Rover V8s.
Secondly; I'm reading for a project to create a MS3x system for fully sequential spark and fuel on a GEMs 4.6.
What experience have people of doing this with non EDIS systems and also has anyone successfully read in the standard CAM sensors?
My application will be a 1800 - 2000kg 4x4 that will see lots of low RPM use for green laning and towing, but will see motorway use too. I'm planning to wire the MS so I can do sequential squirt and spark, but plan to start simple with my tunings and get a good batch fire map sorted before levelling up on the complexity.

not used megasquirt on mine, but I do use vems (a form of megasquirt).
I replaced the GEMS EFI system with a vems standalone.
with standard GEMS EFI equipment
coil pack
injectors
crank sensor
cam sensor
idle valve
knock sensors
Air temp sensor
All the above is fine, just needs setting up correctly, and I'm sure you could do this in your chosen setup.
Full sequential was difficult, and took me over a year to sort out, with help from VEMS HQ, as the pulses from the cam wheel was hard to setup, but its made the running & startup much better.

Fuel injection with Wasted Spark Ignition
MS2-Extra ECU
Air Temperature Sensor.
36-1 crank wheel
Coil Packs
Stepper motor Idle valve control.
Coolant related ignition advance table
Inlet Air Temp related ignition retard table
Air density correction.
Wideband lambda sensor
AFR target tables.
Physical installation was easy, getting engine started was a real nightmare as no support from supplier – long story – but eventually MS Forum solved the simple issue.
I cannot do mapping so went to Dale and his rolling road – by all accounts, he is the only one and a great guy too.

Trying to remember just when you installed your MS, Richard, but the introduction of VE Analyse Live in Tuner Studio has made mapping yourself very much easier.
A rolling road is great for tuning for peak power etc, but not so good for ordinary road conditions.

Yes, Dave, I do have live mapping but since I trust Dale I'll leave him to map for me. Dale actually maps for what ever type of driving you want.
I've had issues with my Racelogic traction control system heavily sooting up 7 & 8 spark plugs but now sorted. That threw out the last map so need to go back to Dale to finally sort it all out.
Has anyone tried Terraclean? I'm quite tempted to use it to get rid of all the soot there must be in the engine.
