I have after market HID dips on my SD1, and have noticed they don't seem to be as bright as once. I think. Unless it's just my age.
Do the bulbs age in use? They are about 5 years old. It could be the reflectors, but they are the bullseye type so difficult to see.

Mine in the capri seemed dull a while back.
I replaced the bulbs and went whiter on the K rating a lot better now

Yes - HIDs do you off with age - at 5 years the globes probably need replacing.
The other aspect is that HIDs do have a high UV component so depending on what your reflectors are made off they can yellow and be less effective.

Thanks guys. I chose the 'warmest' CT they offered - didn't want them blue, as so many were then.
Now all I need to find out if I can get replacement bulbs on their own that will work. Sadly, can't remember who I got the kits from on Ebay.
